Worrying has
been a problem for some if not most of us. But who can blame a person for
harboring such negative thoughts? We live in a fast paced environment and at
times it really gets overwhelming to some to just be able to cope up with the
daily pressures that life has to offer. The expectations of other people and
the standards that society has set upon you.
But did any of
you even ask yourselves the question “Why worry?” I heard from a lot of life
coaches that 98% of what people worry about don’t come true anyway so if this
is a known fact then why do we worry? I
think it’s simple, we worry because we don’t allow ourselves the time to
reflect on whether or not we have a valid reason to worry. It has become an
automatic response system all leading to negative thoughts.
We must all
learn to accept the fact that we are in control of our thoughts. We and we
alone have power over it. We can control it not to worry and instead have a
more positive outlook in life. Worrying
will not in any way help anyone live a healthy lifestyle. Instead, it just
contributes to harming your body both physically and mentally. It will zap your
strength, bring fatigue, headache, lower your immunity causing you more prone
to colds, difficulty in breathing, focusing, sleeping, digestive problems and
many other undesirable things that can affect your well-being.
Whenever you are
faced with the thought of worry, just relax, close your eyes and take a deep
breath, search for that sense of balance within you and from there visualize
all the beautiful things still happening in your life. Focus on the beautiful
and filter out any negative thoughts causing you to worry. Let go of worry and
drop it. You don’t need to carry that extra baggage with you. May you have a
blessed life.
